50th anniversary

Calvary Preschool will be celebrating 50 years with an open house on Sunday, October 9, from 2-4 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Calvary Evangelical Church, 10686 Van Wert-Decatur Road. The preschool invites former staff and students, along with their families, to attend the celebration. The preschool began as the vision of several members of the former Calvary Evangelical United Brethren Church (shown above) in 1966 and continues that vision with a commitment to help children develop emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. Current teachers are Issa Ickes, Julie Stewart, and Vicki Chavarria. The administrator is Marilyn Agler. Over 60 people have been involved in teaching at Calvary and 8 directors have served during the 50-year history of the preschool. (photo submitted)
