Knight runners at Tiffin Carnival meet

TIFFIN — The Crestview varsity cross country teams competed at the Tiffin Cross Country Carnival on Saturday.  This is a highly competitive meet with schools from all over the state represented.

The girls’ team ran in the Division III race and finished 36th out of 53 schools. Ashley Bowen led the Knights with an 18th place finish in a field of 373 runners. The remaining scoring finishers, in order, for Crestview were Ragen Harting, Brooke Ripley, Lydia Saylor, and Elizabeth Mitchener.

The boys’ team competed in the Division IIIA race.  Crestview recorded its best 1-5 pack time of the season of only 26 seconds and the team finished 15th out of 44 schools. The top five runners for Crestview were:  Caleb Bagley, Wyatt Richardson, Dylan Sparks, Gabe Smith, and Jace Vining.

The junior varsity boys finished 13th out of 21 teams in the Division III open race. The top two runners were Tyler White and Jonah Updegrove.
