VW hospital to offer sports Bump Clinic

Van Wert County Hospital will offer the “Bump Clinic,” a sports medicine walk-in clinic open every Wednesday from 4-6 p.m., beginning Wednesday, September 14.

The Bump Clinic is at a new location this year at the Van Wert Health Center and is available to athletes of all ages. Athletes under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Patients at the Bump Clinic will be evaluated by an experienced physical therapist and receive the latest treatment options — all onsite at Van Wert Health Center, with no appointment needed.

“We wanted to offer a convenient service to athletes of all ages in our community — from young kids participating in dance, to high school football players, to adult athletes,” said Debby Compton, director of physical rehabilitation at the hospital. “Van Wert is such an active community and we are thrilled to help athletes of all ages get the care they need so they can recover faster.”

The Bump Clinic is located at Van Wert Health Center, 140 Fox Road, Suite 101, in Van Wert (use Door 3).
