Crestview beats Edgerton for win No. 3

EDGERTON — The Crestview Knights won their third consecutive boys’ basketball game with a 62-39 non-conference victory at Edgerton on Saturday.

Crestview led 14-8 at the end of one quarter, then outscored the Bulldogs 13-2 in the second period to enjoy a 27-10 halftime advantage.

The Knights (3-1) then won the third quarter scoring battle 19-14 to lead 46-24.

Javin Etzler led a balanced Crestview attack with 12 points. Derek Stout and Jace Vining each had eight, Wade Sheets and Drew Kline each had seven and Grant Schlagbaum and Derick Dealey each finished with six.

Crestview will play at Fort Jennings on Tuesday, then will travel to Allen East on Friday.
