United Way gives to VW church mission

United Way of Van Wert County recently made a $2,500 donation to the Love INC mission. The money was given from new initiative funds that provide one-time money for a new project or program.

Love INC’s mission is to mobilize local churches to transform lives and communities in the name of Christ.  Basically, Love INC is a partnership of local churches working together to help people in need. All help is coordinated through a local call center where volunteers take the time to hear someone’s story. The goal is to provide a holistic response that offers not only material support, but also emotional, relational, and spiritual assistance as appropriate for each person’s needs.

Love INC will hold an open house from 9 a.m.-noon Wednesday, February 14, at its office, 216 E. Central Ave. in Van Wert.
