Convoy Road house fire

Five fire departments, Convoy, Ohio City, Wren, Van Wert, and Monroeville, Indiana, sent firefighters and vehicles to fight a house fire (above) on Convoy Road, approximately 3 miles west of Convoy, at approximately 3:50 p.m. Saturday. The house was a total loss, but no one was reportedly injured in the fire. The newly-formed Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) was also at the scene to provide weary firefighters (below) with a canteen with refreshments, due to the cold conditions, and to assist the owner of the house.
