Lancers fall to Delphos St. John’s

DELPHOS — Delphos St. John’s celebrated 100 years of basketball, then held Lincolnview’s potent scoring attack in check during a 50-31 non-conference win over the visiting Lancers on Saturday.

The Blue Jays jumped out to a 15-7 lead after one quarter, then led 28-14 at halftime and 50-36 after three quarters.

Chayten Overholt led Lincolnview with nine points, while Alek Bowersock scored seven.

Jared Wurst, Richard Cocuzza and Colin Will each scored nine for Delphos St. John’s.

The Lancers (10-7) will host Bluffton on Tuesday, then will travel to Ada on Friday. The Blue Jays (10-6) will host Marion Local on Friday.
