Boys’ hoops: sectional matchups are set

Pairings have been scheduled for the 2017-2018 OHSAA boys’ basketball sectionals.

Division II at Findlay High School

Van Wert (10-8) earned the No. 5 seed and will play No. 12 seed Maumee (3-14) on Wednesday, February 28, at 6:15 p.m. The second game that night will feature No. 6 seed Kenton or No. 9 seed Bath at 8 p.m. The winners will meet for the lower bracket sectional championship on Friday, March 2, at 8 p.m. The winner of that game will advance to the Ohio Northern University district semifinals.

Division IV at Van Wert High School

Parkway (8-11) and Antwerp (10-8) will meet in the sectional semifinals on Tuesday, February 27, at 6:15 p.m. The winner will move on to play No. 1 seed Crestview (16-3) in the upper bracket sectional title game on Friday, March 2, at 6:15 p.m.

Division IV at Paulding High School

Lincolnview (12-7) will play Continental (1-17) in the semifinals on Tuesday, February 27, at 6:15 p.m. The winner will advance to the upper bracket sectional championship game and will play Wayne Trace (16-4) on Friday, March 2, at 6:15 p.m. Winners from Van Wert and Paulding will move on to the Elida district.
