Library to celebrate Dr. Suess’s birthday

Celebrate reading and Dr. Seuss’s 114th birthday at Brumback Library during Dr. Suess Week: Monday, February 26, through Saturday, March 3.

Events during the week include the following:

Mixed Up Monday, February 26

Wear mixed up clothing — shirt backwards, inside out, etc., and go on a fishing expedition

Family Story Time at 6:30 p.m.

Top Hat Tuesday, February 27

Wear a favorite hat and design a new hat for the Cat

Infant and Toddler Story Time at 10 a.m.

Preschool Story Time at 10:30 a.m.

Wacky Wednesday, February 28

Wear your wackiest socks and create new socks for the Fox

Preschool Story Time at 10:30 a.m.

Theodore Thursday, March 1

Dress like a favorite Dr. Seuss character and participate in the Dr. Seuss Character Contest

Seussical Fun Friday, March 2

Story Time, craft, and games with the “Cat in the Hat” (also known as Linda Bagley) at 10:30 a.m.

Silly Saturday, March 3

Join the library staff for a day of silly fun and games

The following activities will be available all week: A counting contest, scavenger hunt, coloring contests,

online fun and games with Dr. Seuss, and Dr. Seuss crafts.
