James Frederick Tolan

James Frederick Tolan, 70, of Celina, passed away at 5:05 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born June 4, 1947, in Van Wert, the son of Fred and Kay (Sweyer) Tolan, who both preceded him in death. He married Teresa Tolan, who survives in Celina.

Other survivors include four children, Andrew (Rachel) Tolan of Dayton, Tasha (Ryan) Rothert of Woodville, and Rachel (Jason) Wilson and Katie (Graeme) Myerholtz, both of Perrysburg; and nine grandchildren.

An infant sister, Suzanne Tolan, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Glenn Hux and Steve Ford officiating. Graveside services will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford. 

Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 2, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held at 7:30 Friday evening at the funeral home. 

Preferred memorials: Community Health Professionals of Van Wert or Celina or the Cancer Association of Mercer County in Celina.
