Jim Rickard

Jim Rickard, 85, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, died Tuesday morning, February 27, 2018, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born November 16, 1932, in Ohio City, the son of Arthur and Mildred (Mottinger) Rickard, who both preceded him in death.

Survivors include two sisters, Alice Heiby of Celina and his twin sister Joanne Waterman of Ohio City; two nephews; two nieces; one great-nephew; and five great-nieces.

Two brothers-in-law, Glenn Heiby and Bud Waterman, and a great-nephew, Brian Waterman, also preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 2, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Cheryl Garbe officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Visitation will be an hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
