L’view’s Parsons wrestles at district level

TROY — David Parsons was thrust into action during Friday’s Division III district wrestling at Horbert Arena in Troy.

Parsons was tabbed as an alternate in the 285 weight class, and was able to wrestle due to problems with another wrestler.

In the first round, he was pinned by Cincinnati Summit Country Day’s Corey Lancaster in 40 seconds, then Parsons lost a tough 1-0 decision to Covington’s Bryce Keiser in a consolation match.

Lincolnview’s Luke Bullinger (113 pounds) was an alternate, but didn’t have the opportunity to wrestle at the district level.
