Apartment fire

Van Wert firefighters were called to another residential fire on Sunday afternoon at Thistlewood Apartments on North Franklin Street. Firefighters were there for several hours extinguishing the blaze and providing clean-up afterwards, while members of the Van Wert County Emergency Management Agency’s CERT disaster team provided a canteen for firefighters, and the American Red Cross Disaster Team was also on site helping victims of the fire. photo by Ron Dunn for the Van Wert independent
