Elmo F. Scott

Elmo F. Scott, 90, of Van Wert, died at 11:50 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Sarah Jane Living Center in Delphos.

He was born May 7, 1927, in Findlay, to son of Clarence and Gladys (Davies) Scott, who both preceded him in death.

On October 21, 1951, he married the former Evelyn G. Adams at First United Methodist Church in Van Wert, who also preceded him in death.

Survivors include four children, Philip (Diann) Scott, Melanie (Jeff) Souder, Kristine (Don) Goodman, and Catherine (Gustavo) Baltazar; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Two sisters, Betty Jane Burkett and Kathleen Guilford, also preceded him in death.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County, with military honors rendered by combined units of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both in Van Wert.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 21, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, where a masonic service is set at 11:30 that morning.
