Lady Knights power past St. Marys

ST. MARYS — Codi Miller finished with a grand slam home run, a triple, two doubles and six RBI, and Crestview enjoyed a five inning 21-1 non-conference softball win at St. Marys on Saturday.

12 of Crestview’s 16 hits were for extra bases. Meanwhile, St. Marys finished the game with just two hits.

In addition to Miller, Lexi Gregory and Hannah Binnion each had two home runs and a double, while Caitlin O’Hagan and Emma Bowen each had a double. Gregory finished with five RBI and O’Hagan had three RBI.

The Lady Knights led 2-1 after the first inning, 8-1 after the second, 9-1 after three and 16-1 after four innings.

Victoria Lichtensteiger pitched three innings and allowed one run on one hit with three strikeouts and two walks. Kali Small pitched the remaining two innings and gave up a hit,, while fanning three.

Crestview (10-7) will host Paulding today.
