Laura Schaadt

Laura “Katy” Schaadt, 79, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Garrett, Indiana.

Katy was born December 28, 1938, in Portland, Indiana, a daughter of Margaret and Claude Hilton, who both preceded her in death.

She enjoyed being a musician in Audiences Unlimited.

Katy will be sadly missed by her daughters, Wanda Rodman and Audrey Knapp both of Auburn, Indiana, and Arlene (Melvin) Baxley of Statesville, North Carolina; siblings Richard Hilton and Ruth Parson; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Herbert Schaadt; a son, Randy; and one grandson, Allen Rodman, also preceded her in death.

Katy’s funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River St. in Antwerp. Burial will be in Maumee Cemetery in Antwerp.

Visitation is one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
