Noel Thomas Laukhuf

Noel Thomas Laukhuf, 52, of Van Wert, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, June 26, 2018, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Noel was born June 22, 1966, in Van Wert, the son of William and Janice Laukhuf, who both survive.

After graduating from Van Wert High School in 1984, he attended Miami University and was elected to the Mortar Board Society his first semester. He attended a nursing school in Chicago, then became an entrepreneur driven to serve with the utmost integrity and a tireless work ethic.

Noel was an adventurous spirit that lived and loved the fullest life by gifting the world with his immeasurable generosity and thoughtfulness. He was a warrior who fought a courageous battle for his life over the last year.

Other survivors include his wife, Kelly Kirk Laukhuf; one daughter, Ava Noël (daughter); four sisters, Treva (Gary) Steele, Trenna (Tom) Elliott, Kara (Edward) Cobb, and Laurel (David) Wolma; and several nieces and nephews, Elizabeth (JohnLuke) Lewis, Maria and Rebekah Elliott, Jordyn and Justin Steele, and Eisley and Syrus Wolma; and his aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 30, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with Noel’s brother-in-law, Pastor Tom Elliott, officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery near Latty.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Friday, June 29, and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

He will be missed by all.
