The Cougars pounded out 10 hits on the way to an 8-2 ACME baseball win at Celina on Wednesday.

Jake Lautzenheiser, Keaton Brown and Owen Treece each had a pair of hits, while TJ Reynolds led Van Wert with three RBI on a fifth inning double that plated Treece, Lennon Bartley and Jaxson Amweg.

Treece chipped in with a pair of RBI and pitched all seven innings, allowing just three hits while recording 12 strikeouts and just one walk.

Van Wert scored a single run in the first and third innings, two in the second and four in the fifth. Both of Celina’s runs came in the bottom of the fifth.

The Cougars (10-3) will play at Elida on Friday.

Antwerp 8 Lincolnview 4 (12 innings)

The Achers and Lancers battled for 12 innings, before visiting Antwerp claimed an 8-4 ACME victory on Wednesday

Three of Antwerp’s runs were scored in the top of the second inning, and the remaining five came in the 12th. Lincolnview scored single runs in the second, sixth, seventh and 12th innings.

Brayden Evans, Ethan Kemler and Clayton Leeth each had two of Lincolnview’s nine hits.

The Lancers will play at Elida today.
