Rex R. Stahl

Rex R. Stahl, 79, of Grover Hill, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018, in his home.

He was born in Grover Hill September 25, 1938, the son of Edwin and Vida (Stuckey) Stahl, who both preceded him in death. Rex married Donna (Justinger) Stahl on July 22, 1961, and she survives.

Other survivors include his two children, Gregory Stahl of Auburn, Indiana, and Penny (Reggie) Buehrer of Van Wert; four grandchildren, Marie Stahl, Joshua (Jennifer) Buehrer, Jason (Jessica) Buehrer, and Katie (Brad) Allison; and five great-grandchildren who were the light of his life, Chase Stahl, Caleb and Elisha Buehrer, and Lucas and Lydia Allison. He is also survived by an older brother, Don (Marge) Stahl of Grover Hill.

Two sisters, Betty Elliott and Barbara Elston, also preceded him in death.

Rex was a graduate of Grover Hill High School. He served his country in the United States Army stationed in White Sands, New Mexico. He was an avid softball player, playing in three world fast-pitch tournaments while in the Army. He also enjoyed golf, fishing, and all kinds of card games.

Rex attended Zion Christian Union Church and, over the years, served the Lord by singing and teaching Sunday school wherever he attended.

There will be no public services. The family will have a private Celebration of Life gathering.
