The program is a collaboration between the Van Wert Elementary School Roadrunners and YWCA of Van Wert County focused exclusively on current sixth graders. The purpose of runjumpthrow6.0 is to promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles, as well as to improve running knowledge for sixth grade students who are not yet eligible to participate in school sponsored sports.

Thanks to partial funding by the United Way of Van Wert, the YWCA is able to offer runjumpthrow6.0 at no cost to Van Wert Middle School sixth grade students. The program will start September 11 and run every Tuesday and Thursday for six weeks through October 18. Students will meet in the Van Wert Middle School Commons at 3:15 p.m. and will need picked up by 4:15 p.m. outside of the Van Wert Middle School Gym entrance.

Registration forms can be picked up in the VWMS Office or can be requested by contacting YWCA Executive Director Kimberly Laudick at klaudick@ywcavanwertcounty.org.

The YWCA is a United Way and Van Wert County Foundation funded agency.
