Van Wert independent sports

After a holiday hiatus, the Van Wert independent/Northwest Ohio Welch Trophy Student Athlete of the Week feature is back.

All area coaches and athletic directors are encouraged to nominate student athletes in any winter sport. One name will be chosen and he/she will be featured as the first winner of 2019 this Friday.

Nominations must be emailed to sports@thevwindependent.com by 12 p.m. on Tuesday.
