VW mayor honored

A surprise gathering of friends and co-workers occurred Wednesday night at American Legion Post 178 to thank outgoing Van Wert Mayor Jerry Mazur for his service to the city. Calling Mazur one of the best mayors the city has ever had, Safety-Service Director Jay Fleming (right) presented the mayor with a plaque recognizing his dedication to the community.
