Robert James Karcher

Robert James Karcher, 90, of Van Wert, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019, at Lima Memorial Hospital. 

He was born in Findlay, the son of Raymond A. and Rosella (Keckler) Karcher, who both preceded him in death. In 1949, he married the former Mary Brehm, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include a daughter, Deborah (Herb) Metz of Port Charlotte, Florida; three sons, Raymond Karcher of Gallipolis, Henry (Arminda) Karcher of Findlay, and Michael (Jill) Karcher of Van Wert; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A daughter-in-law, Mia Thomas, also preceded him in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Friday, December 27, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert, with Father Stan Szybka celebrant.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the church.
