Duane D. Clifton

Duane D. Clifton, 93, of Willshire, passed away Sunday morning, December 22, 2019, as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

Duane was born March 22, 1926 in Van Wert County, the son of Benjamin Harrison and Jennie M. (Culbertson) Clifton, who both preceded him in death. He married the former Edith M. Boice on March 20, 1948, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and she survives in Willshire.

Other survivors include a son, David D. Clifton of Willshire; and two grandchildren.

His daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Alan Dannenfelser, also passed away as a result of the same accident. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Maxine Sharpe and Ruth Ann Brake; and four brothers, Carl, Ralph, Floyd, and Rex Clifton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 30, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana, with Pastor Bud Larimore officiating. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery in Willshire, with graveside military honors rendered.

Visitation is from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, December 29, at the funeral home.
