Cavinder wins weekly award

Lincolnview High School basketball player Aaron Cavinder is the first Van Wert independent/Northwest Ohio Welch Trophy Student Athlete of the Week of 2020. The 5-9 junior guard was nominated by head coach Brett Hammons. “Aaron has a great work ethic on and off the floor,” Hammons said. “He loves all the challenges that he is faced with in both of these areas, and he will take each task thrown at him head on.
