Saturday’s game will feature a 5 p.m. junior varsity tipoff.

Van Wert vs. Shawnee, vs. Coldwater

The Cougars kept pace with Ottawa-Glandorf for a half last Friday, then had Saturday night off after the game at Bryan was postponed until 2 p.m. February 1. Now, the Cougars will try to rebound from Tuesday’s 60-29 loss at Kalida, but it won’t be easy against Shawnee and Coldwater.

Van Wert (3-9, 1-3 WBL) is lead by Owen Treece, who averages 23.3 points per game, while Jake Hilleary averages 5.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Clayton Profitt contributes 4.8 points per contest and Keaton Brown adds 4.1 points per game.

Going back to last season, Shawnee (13-0, 4-0 WBL) has won 20 straight regular season games and 33 of 34 games in the regular season.
