Cougar grapplers defeat Elida 42-24

The Van Wert Cougars wrapped up the home portion of the schedule with a 42-24 win over Elida on Thursday night. Only two weight classes wrestled – 220 and 285. The remaining matches were forfeits or double forfeits.

The victory by Van Wert wrapped up the home careers of the team’s three seniors – Gabe Steyer, Cody Gamble and Clay Ellerbrock.
