Hilleary wins weekly award

Van Wert High School senior basketball player Jake Hilleary is this week’s Van Wert independent/Northwest Ohio Welch Trophy Student Athlete of the Week. Hilleary, who was nominated by head coach Ben Laudick, is the team’s leading rebounder (5.8 per game) and second leading scorer (6.8 per game). He also starred on the football field for the Cougars.
