Local tax bill address confirmation needed

According to the Van Wert County Treasurer’s Office staff, there have been a large number of undeliverable tax bills this year.  

Those who have not received a tax bill should call the Van Wert County Treasurer’s Office at 419.238.5177 or come in to the Treasurer’s Office at the Courthouse to verify the correct address.  

Not receiving a tax bill does not exempt people from payment. First half taxes are higher than second half taxes because of special assessments: for example, watershed and recycling assessments. This is not a penalty for paying half of a year at a time.
