Anna Ruth McClure

Anna Ruth McClure, 95, of Grover Hill, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at the Van Wert Manor.

She was born February 29, 1924, in Van Wert County, the daughter of Otto L. Mohr and V. Ilo (Gatshall) Mohr, who both preceded her in death. On April 15, 1949, she married Clinton Carl McClure, who passed away January 6, 1995. Together, they shared 45 years of marriage.

Anna was a 1942 graduate of Hoaglin-Jackson High School. She worked as a homemaker and devoted wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma.

Anna was a life-long member of the former Mt. Pleasant Church in Van Wert County, and had recently attended Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert.

Surviving are her children, Jane (Danny) McGarvey, Pam (Kent) Eddy, and Jeff (Cindy) McClure; grandchildren, Travis (Stacy) McGarvey, Kim McGarvey, Brent (Chelsie) McGarvey, Allison (Drew) Bittner, Scott (Jen) Eddy, Steven (Naomi) Eddy, Sarah (Travis) Mosier, and Stuart (Jami) Eddy; great-grandchildren, Cade and Blake McGarvey, Raegan, Ryleigh, and Boston McGarvey, Adelyn, Jacie, and Carson Bittner, Allison Warnement, Tyler, and Logan Eddy, Luke, Jillian, and Cohen Eddy, Clayton, Garret, and Dylan Mosier, and Otto and Nash Eddy; and a sister, Arlene McIntosh.

She was also preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Bristol McGarvey; and two brothers, Max L. Mohr and Robert Mohr.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, February 22, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Phil Mercer officiating.  Burial will immediately follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of keepsakes, memorial contributions in Anna`s memory may be made to Grover Hill EMS or Wayne Trace Lifewise Academy.
