YWCA names 2020 scholarship finalists

The YWCA of Van Wert County has announced its 2020 Scholarship for Young Women finalists. Finalists are as follows: 

• Laney Jones, daughter of Trisha and Steve Jones, a senior at Crestview High School.
• Victoria Snyder, daughter of Stacey and Jeff Snyder, a senior at Lincolnview High School.
• Rachel Verville, daughter of Tonia and Mark Verville, a senior at Van Wert High School.  

All three of these Van Wert County high school seniors display outstanding leadership and volunteerism that allow them to fulfill the mission of the YWCA. Scholarships in the amount of $750, $500, and $300 will be awarded at the YWCA’s Annual Women of Achievement Scholarship Dinner, which will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at the YWCA.

“We are so pleased to be able to support the young women in our community with the YWCA Scholarship for Young Women to help them pursue their future goals and plans,” sad YWCA President/CEO Kimberly Laudick. “We had many strong applicants which made the decision very hard.”
