Venedocia woman given prison sentence

A Venedocia woman convicted of domestic violence was sentenced to prison during hearings held this week in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court.

Abbie Eutsler, 33, of Venedocia, was sentenced to 15-month prison terms on each of two counts of domestic violation, a felony of the fourth degree. Judge Martin D. Burchfield ordered the sentences to run concurrently (at the same time), and also gave Eutsler credit for 111 days already served. 

One person was also arraigned this week in Common Pleas Court.

Dustin Lehmkuhle, 30, of Delphos, entered a not guilty plea to one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree. He was released on an unsecured personal surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 8 a.m. Wednesday, April 1.

Four people also changed their pleas during hearings held this past week.

Nathan Dunn, 37, of Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to one count each of complicity, a felony of the third degree, and permitting drug abuse and receiving stolen property, each a fifth-degree felony.

A presentence investigation was ordered and sentencing scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 18. Dunn also admitted to violating his bond by not reporting to probation. A new $50,000 cash bond was set in the case.

Brandon Adkins, 24, of New Bavaria, changed his plea to guilty to one count of failure to provide a change of address as a registered sex offender. He was then sentenced to 45 days in jail, with credit for 45 days already served. The case was remanded to the Adult Parole Authority for further proceedings.

Kyle May, 36, of Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to one count of domestic violence, a felony of the fourth degree. A presentence investigation was ordered and May will appear for sentencing at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 15.

April Ladd, 38, of Convoy, changed her plea to guilty to one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the third degree. She was then sentenced to 30 months in prison, with credit for six days already served. The sentence will run concurrent to a prison sentence she is now serving.

In other court news, Jeremy Dunbar, 23, of Van Wert, admitted to violating his probation by signing himself out of the Western Ohio Regional Treatment and Habilitation (WORTH) Center in Lima. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail, with credit for 136 days already served.

Two people also admitted to bond violations.

Kendra Keesler, 24, of Van Wert, admitted to violating her surety bond by consuming intoxicants and failing to report to probation. A new $10,000 cash bond was set in the case. A pretrial conference was also scheduled for Wednesday, March 11.

Kenneth Dunaway, 47, of Van Wert, admitted to violating his bond by consuming intoxicants and failing to report to probation. A new $10,000 cash bond was set in the case and Dunaway is to appear at a pretrial conference this Friday, March 6.
