Baseball, softball sign ups to begin soon

The Van Wert Parks and Recreation Department is happy to announce that summer baseball and softball registration opens on March 14 and continues until March 27.

Athletes can register during normal business hours of Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Jubilee Park Office, 137 Gleason Ave, Van Wert. Extended registration hours will occur on the following days: March 14 (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.), March 19 (4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.), and March 26
(4 p.m.-6:30 p.m.).

Families registering multiple athletes will receive a discount of $5 off for each child registered after the first child. A maximum out of pocket per family is $75 for baseball programs only (Little Sluggers, T-Ball and Coach Pitch). Softball is not included in this discount or out-of-pocket maximum. Late registration will begin March 30 and go until April 6. An additional $10 fee will be applied to those who register late.

Co-ed programs offered to the public include the Little Sluggers program $15 (ages 3-4), T-ball $25 (ages 5-6), and Coach Pitch baseball $30 (ages 7-8). Girls fast-pitch softball $40 (ages 9-15) is also available for registration.
