Tenneco’s Van Wert plant to remain open

Officials at the local Tenneco (former Federal-Mogul) plant have released a statement on the governor’s new “Stay at Home” order.

“Following the executive order released by the Ohio Governor’s office as announced on Sunday, March 22, Tenneco, located in Van Wert, will remain open for operation. As outlined in the executive order, the company has been identified as a manufacturer of products and services in and for industries such as transportation, as well as products used by other essential businesses and operations.   

All employees are expected to report to work at the regularly scheduled starting times for all three shifts beginning with third shift Sunday evening March 22. The company will provide more information to all employees on Monday, March 23.”
