Municipal Court provides new information

Van Wert Municipal Court will be open regular business hours, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The court will be open to accept new filings during the above business hours. 

The court is attempting to limit the number of people coming through its doors, as this situation is ongoing; however, staff members have essential functions to the community that they are required to perform. 

Those who do not feel well should contact the VWMC office and each specific situation will be addressed on a case-by-case basis. 

Those who can should utilize the court’s online payment process or send checks or money orders in the mail to make payments for traffic violations, fines, and costs. The court is currently converting most of its pre-trials to telephone pre-trials and continuing cases as much as possible in the interest of justice.
