VW independent/submitted information

A Van Wert woman was given a prison sentence as part of hearings held Wednesday in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court.

Christina Donate-McClure, 30, was sentenced to 30 months in prison on a charge of complicity, a felony of the third degree, and 12 months on one count of permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony offense. Judge Martin D. Burchfield ordered the sentences to run at the same time (concurrent), with credit for 63 days already served.

Three people also changed their pleas during hearings in Common Pleas Court.

Kendra Keesler, 24, of Van Wert, changed her plea to guilty to one count each of aggravated possession of drugs and possession of heroin, each a felony of the fifth degree. She then requested, and was granted, intervention in lieu of conviction and her case was stayed pending completion of a substance abuse treatment program.

Felicia Dunn, 32, of Ohio City, changed her plea to guilty to a prosecutor’s bill of information charging her with possession of drug abuse instruments, a misdemeanor of the second degree. She was then sentenced to 10 days in jail, with credit for 10 days already served.

Gabriel Palacios, 24, of Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to an amended charge of possession of marijuana, a felony of the fifth degree. He then requested, and was granted, intervention in lieu of conviction, and his case was stayed pending completion of a substance abuse treatment program.
