House fire

At 2:30 p.m. Monday, the Van Wert Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) was dispatched by Van Wert police to a city house fire at 503 Elliott St. with the Van Wert Fire Department. The home suffered major damage and affected two adults and five pets. CERT members met with family and discussed the damages. Due to the COVID-19 incident, only monetary donations can be collected for the family. Send donations to the Van Wert County Foundation, 138 E. Main St., Van Wert, OH 45891.
