VWCS to continue distance learning efforts

In a press conference held Monday, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine extended all Ohio school closures until at least May 1 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. DeWine stated that they will re-evaluate the situation as that date draws closer.

Van Wert City Schools will continue to educate its students through distance learning and teachers will be in contact with parents and students regarding classwork. VWCS will continue to provide meals for students through our Grab and Go meal service plan. Buildings will remain closed and all spring sports and extra-curricular activities are on hold until further notice.

VWCS continues to work closely with the Van Wert Health Department, which is in contact with the Ohio Department of Health and CDC, as the district monitors the outbreak of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) throughout Ohio.
