Municipal Court changing business hours

Van Wert Municipal Court is changing its business hours during this state of emergency. 

As of today (Monday), Municipal Court will be open to the public on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.; 8 a.m.-noon on Wednesday; and closed to the public all day Friday. These hours will remain in effect until the state of emergency has been lifted.  

Court officials hope to reduce the risk of infection to staff and to the public during this crisis. Remember that payments can be made online at www.vwmc.org or sent through the mail. All probation check-ins can be done by telephone. 

Municipal Court staff encourages people with a hearing scheduled to call the court or their attorney before coming in, as staff members are attempting to avoid as much personal contact as possible, while still providing essential court functions.
