OHSAA spring finals sites moved

COLUMBUS — More information has been released about Ohio High School Athletic Association spring sports tournaments, should the season begin next month.

Most notably, instead of Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium at Ohio State University, state track and field will be split between three different sites. The move is necessary, because all Ohio State facilities are closed for the summer due to COVID-19.

Division I competition will be held at Hilliard Darby, Division II at Pickerington North and Division III at Westerville North High School June 26 and 27.

State tennis will be played at Hilliard-Davidson High School instead of the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason June 18-20.

Baseball and softball state tournament games will return to Canal Park and Firestone Stadium, respectively. Both facilities are in Akron. Baseball state semifinal and final games are scheduled for June 19-21, and softball state semifinal and final games are slated for June 25-27.
