William Everett Pollock
William Everett “Bill” Pollock, 68, formerly of Middle Point and Van Wert, passed away Friday, April 17, 2020 at the University of Toledo Medical Center of complications from COVID-19.

He was born September 16, 1951, the son of Dwain and Dorothy Pollock. Bill played basketball and was a graduate of Lincolnview High School and Defiance College. On June 8, 1974, he married the former Carol Ann Stamper.
Bill was a dedicated farmer and, in his retirement, continued to work locally. For many years, Bill attended the Ohio high school boys’ basketball tournament with friends and family. Bill’s favorite pastime was watching Lincolnview Lancer basketball. Recently, he loved spending time with his three grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; twin daughters, Cammie and Carrie; and brother, Rex Pollock.
Bill is survived by his son, Chad (Casey), and three grandchildren, Greyson, Keira, and Ashlyn.
Because of national health concerns, Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory and the Pollock family are following directives outlined by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Health.
While family and friends are invited to attend Bill’s graveside service at 11:15 a.m. Friday, May 1, in Ridge Cemetery near Middle Point, those attending the service are asked to stay in their vehicles.
