VW Health Dept. has COVID-19 update

On Thursday, April 23, the Van Wert County General Health District, reports there remain three confirmed cases, three pending tests, and 49 negative tests. Two of the confirmed cases have recovered, while there are currently no confirmed cases hospitalized. 

As of Wednesday, Ohio reported 13,609 confirmed cases, 2,882 hospitalizations, and 584 deaths. This information is updated daily at 2 p.m. and can be found at http://coronavirus.ohio.gov.  

Ohioans need to continue to help flatten the curve and slow the spread by staying home, practicing proper social distancing, proper handwashing, and wearing cloth face coverings when in public. 

The Van Wert County General Health District continues to communicate daily with the Ohio Department of Health, its regional partners, its community partners, and its healthcare partners. The health department works to provide the most up-to-date information on the current situation. VWCGHD urges local residents to get information from credible sources and encourage citizens to treat each other with kindness.
