Covid-19 totals rise with Cooper outbreak

As of Monday, the Van Wert County General Health District is reporting 17 confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus in the county.
The health department is also investigating an outbreak at the Cooper Farms Cooked Meats plant in Van Wert, which has had five confirmed cases and other symptomatic individuals are being monitored. The health department is working closely with Cooper Farms in an attempt to prevent the further spread of the virus.

Eight of the 17 confirmed cases have recovered from the virus. One person is currently hospitalized and eight are self-isolating at home.
Of the 17 cases, there have been cases reported in the following age ranges: one in the birth-19 age category, four from 20-29 years, two from 30-39 years, one in the 50-59 year range, five from 60-69 years, three from 70 to 79 years, and one in the 80 and above age group.
