Crestview 2 Delphos St. John’s 1 (girls)

DELPHOS — In the season opener, Katelyn Castle scored both of Crestview’s goals and the Lady Knights pulled off a 2-1 victory over the Lady Blue Jays. The first goal came 16 minutes into the game and the second was with 13 minutes left in the half.

Emily Karcher finished with six saves for Crestview.

“We got out of the box a bit slow tonight,” Crestview head coach John Dowler said. “The heat coupled with the fact that it was our first game contributed. Addison Williman, Adessa Alvarez and Hope Lopez played all around great games in the midfield and forward positions.”
