Fricker’s/Lady Knight Invite set for Sat.

CONVOY — The 20th annual Fricker’s/Lady Knight Volleyball Invitational is set for this Saturday at Crestview High School.

This year’s highly anticipated invitational will feature eight teams who will compete for the title of champion: St. Henry, Arlington, Ottawa-Glandorf, Fort Recovery, Bellmont, Norwalk St. Paul, Celina and Crestview.

Five of those teams are ranked in this week’s Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association poll. Celina is No. 19 in Division II, Ottawa-Glandorf is No. 2 in Division III, St. Henry is No. 6 in Division IV, followed by St. Paul (No. 11) and Fort Recovery (No. 16).

The first matches of the day will feature St Henry against Arlington at 9 a.m. in the high school gym and Ottawa-Glandorf vs. Ft Recovery in the middle school gym. The second matches will showcase Crestview vs. Bellmont in the high school gym and Norwalk St. Paul will compete against Celina to complete first round action in the middle school gym.

Each team will participate in three matches and the championship match will be played at approximately 2:30 p.m. in the high school gym.

Admission for the entire day is $5 for adults and $4 for students. No passes will be accepted for the tournament.
