FOA to bring Rise Together to schools

FOA (Families of Addicts) is scheduled to bring Rise Together to all Van Wert County high schools – Crestview, Lincolnview, Van Wert, Vantage Career Center and Delphos Jefferson this week.

Rise Together has made more than 450 presentations and spoke to more than 200,000 students on issues such as mental health, substance abuse, bullying and standing up and having a voice.

Rise Together has the vision to raise one million youth voices by educating, engaging and empowering youth to use their voices for change through seminars, student-led activities, peer wellness coaching and ambassadorship.

The local schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, October 6: Vantage Career Center from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Thursday, October 7: Delphos Jefferson from 8:30 – 10 a.m.
Thursday, October 7: Crestview from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Friday, October 8: Van Wert from 9:15 to 10:45 a.m.
Friday, October 8: Lincolnview from 1:50 to 3:10 p.m.
