Village of Scott getting state grant money

Van Wert independent news

State grant money has been earmarked to help alleviate flooding problems in the village of Scott.

Van Wert and Paulding counties will receive a $500,000 Critical Infrastructure grant from the Ohio Department of Development to assist the village with flood and drainage infrastructure.

The project calls for the installation of 11,500 linear feet of storm sewer line, 34 catch basins and two manholes to replace current deteriorated storm drainage structure that leads to frequent flooding and standing water in the area.

The project will benefit 283 people.
