Softball sectional pairings are set

Sectional softball pairings were set around northwest Ohio and around the state on Sunday.

At the Division II UNOH sectional/district, Van Wert earned the No. 6 seed and will host Celina in the sectional semifinal round at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 10. The winner will play at No. 2 seed St. Marys Memorial in the championship round at 5 p.m. Friday, May 13.

Crestview and Lincolnview were named No. 2-3 seeds at the Division IV Wapakoneta sectional/district and both elected to take opening round byes.

Crestview will host No. 9 seed Upper Scioto Valley or No. 10 seed New Bremen in the sectional title game at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 12, while Lincolnview will host No. 6 seed Parkway or No. 13 seed Parkway at the same time.
