Lancer runners, Laudick at state

OBETZ — Conner Baldauf logged a top 50 finish and Lincolnview finished 15th at the Division III OHSAA state cross country finals at Fortress Obetz and Memorial Park on Saturday.

Baldauf finished 46th overall (17:01) while teammate Kreston Tow was the second finisher for the Lancers (100th, 17:37). Evan Johns finished 105th (17:42), followed by Kaleb Denman (125th, 18:05) and Maddox Norton (129th, 18:34). As a team, Lincolnview finished with 311 points.

Mt. Gilead won the team title with 82 points while Ottawa Hills was the runner-up (151 points).

Lancer freshman Brynleigh Moody, who qualified as an individual, finished 31st out of 182 runners with a time of 19:45. Minster won the girls team title with 63 points.

In the Division II finals, Van Wert sophomore Drew Laudick placed 149th with a time of 18:10.
