Local girl to present piano recital

Emma Keysor, the daughter of Mike and Leah Keysor, will present her senior piano recital at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at First Baptist Church, 13887 Jennings Road, Van Wert. The public is invited to this event.

She studies piano with Annette Hoverman and will perform works by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, Liszt, Copland, and Muczynski.

Keysor’s music honors include Superior Plus ratings at National Piano Guild Auditions, “I” ratings at Ohio Music Education Association Solo & Ensemble Contest, and successful completion of Middle West District Ohio Music Teacher Association Music Evaluation Days and Ribbon Festivals.

She received the Soli Deo Gloria music scholarship from Cedarville University. In addition, has participated in various recitals and accompanied soloists and she gives private piano lessons.

Keysor plans to attend Cedarville this fall to pursue a Bachelor of Music degree in Keyboard Pedagogy.
